In this feature I am showing you how I look after my international brides, the brides that have to organize their whole wedding from another country. I believe this can be quiet stressful and hard work as I myself had my wedding abroad!
From the very first time I met Karlie we had an instant click, she was a natural beauty and therefore I wanted to bring out all of her natural beauty from within. She was getting married in the stunning Tulfarris Hotel in Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
At the trial we spoke about her skincare routine and how to look after her skin in the warm climate in Australia which is where she is from. Karlie wasn’t too sure what she wanted but after chatting with her about her dress, the vision she had and her hair I knew soft and subtle was the way to go for this gorgeous blonde girl.
For Karlie’s skin we hydrated and primed with MAC moisture balance softening lotion spray, prep n prime skin base and MAC strobe cream, MAC eye cream (this helps stop watery eyes). I used Nars Sheerglow foundation in Punjab which went lovely with her spray tan (from us), setting this with Laura Mercier transculent powder for a flawless dewy finish that feels light weight but has great staying power.
We used soft warm tones on her eyes mainly the outer corner, and she wanted a soft rose gold on the lid to bring out her blue eyes. We used Inglot black gel liner #77 waterproof with a little delicate flick and a nude liner in the waterline for a more natural finish, we used individual lashes and finished eyes with MAC extended waterproof mascara. For cheeks we used MAC soft and gentle highlighter and a soft pink blush.
For lips we primed with MAC Prep n prime lip conditioner for colour we used MAC Soar lipliner and MAC Modesty for lipstick, Karlie then had her own to top up with later.
To this day when people ask for a soft Smokey eye this is the image they ask for of Beautiful Karlie’s makeup.
